Some time ago I came across information about a ancestor of note of Fredericton, New Brunswick, called Arthur Slipp, (not the current Mayor of Woodstock). I heard about this particular Arthur Slipp years ago; the first time it was a comment made due to the obvious connection with my surname; it was something about “a Slipp in Politics” in New Brunswick. The second time was while reading Maritime Radical, a book in which he and a business of his in the St. John River Valley were referenced. I did have a few Arthur Slipps in my genealogy files, but initially couldn’t find reference to their careers.
